Catholic identity + academic rigor

The Church is crucial to the story of history.

These are history textbooks—not religion textbooks. The Church appears in her proper historical context wherever she shaped events, institutions, art, ideas, conflict, reform, and culture.

Essential

The story is incomplete without her.

Students see how belief and the Church influenced people, laws, learning, institutions, and civilizations.

Honest

The good and the bad remain visible.

Achievements and failures, saints and sinners, reform and conflict are presented without hiding the Church or turning history into triumphalism.

Rigorous

Context does not replace scholarship.

Documents, maps, speeches, artifacts, and primary sources help students examine the evidence behind the narrative.
